Garlic Bread Crutons
Take half of a bought garlic bread, cube and place on a baking tray and bake as per the instructions.
When cooked, sprinkle on soup.

Hi Julie, these look very good. The 2 recipes for Whooping Cough had 1. Syrup of violets, sugar candy and white wine vinegar. 2. Cod liver oil, lemons, paregoric and harehound. Nan often acted as "nurse" in her local area but I doubt the above remedies cured, perhaps relieved symptoms. I recall people arriving with arms so deeply cut I could see inside muscles, broken bones sticking out etc. The NHS had started when I was little but I think people were still a bit suspicious about the new service being "free" and were frightened of getting a doctor's bill.
